Marathon Relay
The marathon relay is a 5-person team event consisting of four 5-mile legs and a final 10k (6.2 mile) leg. Relay exchange zones will be marked with a white feather banner. There is plenty of parking around all of the hand-off points. It is the team’s responsibility to get runners to and from each hand-off point.
Each team member receives a finisher’s medal at the finish line. We encourage all team members to meet downtown and run the last few blocks with their final runner to get a finisher’s picture of the entire team and receive their finisher’s medals together at the finish line.
Relay Registration Procedure
The first team member to register creates and names the team and pays the entry fee for the team. The remaining team members add their names to the team using the “Join A Team” pull-down option on our registration page. Teams may participate in the relay with less than five runners but the fee is the same regardless of the number of team members.
